Great advances have been made in this section over the past few years in their breeding and cultivation thereby creating superior forms, colours, and flowers that are more weather tolrant. Initially known as Suncharms or Cushion Mums they were a early type of charm that previously had been associated with the late cultivars to flower in a greenhouse. Today they come under varied names eg Early Charms, Garden Mums, Cushion Mums, Patio Mums, Showmakers, Yoders, or Showmaker Multiflora They all come under the National Chrysanthemum Society classification of section 22 Early Flowering Charms (Ann.C.Brook )

Garden Mums are available at most Garden Centers, Garden Sections at D.I.Y.stores and from Chrysanthemum Nurserymen who specialize in chrysanthemums
